Karate Experience
I began studying Ishinryu Karate in October 2001 at the OKC Karate Clubs under Master Robert White. I entered the club with my son Michael as a father and son experience. I realized I found something that I could be passionate about. OKC has been a great experience for me. It has changed my entire life. It has given me much self confidence and great physical fitness. It has taught me not only self defense techniques but about the balance of a healthy life style and a clear mind. The best is the camaraderie of the clubs black belts and Members.
I respect everyone in the club and would stand along side each in turmoil or Peace. They are my blood brothers. I also enjoy the tournaments that I have entered; they have taught me how to perform under great stress. My favorite Katas are Seiuchin, and Wansu, I believe Earning Sho-Dan is the beginning of a great life experience and I look forward to learning much more and passing it down to the beginners. I hope I may contribute many things to the OKC Karate clubs and I would love the responsibilities I am ask to do. I feel I contribute to the recruiting of new students because of the evidence of what the club has done for me.
